Organ Donation & Transplantation: How It Works

The Signup and Registration Phase

Note: No potential organ donor is ever asked for money nor expected to donate money.

After the Donate-For-Life™ registration website is activated any individual can sign up for an appointment to register as a potential organ donor. While online the visitor can evaluate all the pros and cons, review the interactive tutorial, pass a simple test, and sign up for an appointment to register.

Each potential organ donor is contacted by eMail within 24-hours offering three time slots for a 15-minute appointment with a local agent. The potential donor registers by providing photo ID, birth certificate, thumb print, and signing the organ donation agreements. A photo is taken and imprinted on the Donate-For-Life™ SwipeCard for positive identification. The incentive, health and tuition credit is explained; a booklet with full details is offered once the potential organ donor becomes part of the Donate-For-Life™ Organ Donor Program.

The Participation Phase

The opt-in participation phase offers the potential organ donor an opportunity to remain active on the system and acquire redeemable health, service or education credit. Every 6-months the donor's weight and body mass index is recorded, and blood pressure and cholesterol are taken. The cost to you through DFL Providers is zero; just make and keep your scheduled appointment.

Our goal is to ensure you remain healthy since healthy people tend to have healthy organs. You can ensure that healthy organs can be surgically-recoverable if you develop a lifestyle consistent with a good regimen.

  The Dedication Phase

Dedicated potential organ donors can opt-in to extracurricular aspects of the Donate-For-Life Organ Donor Program. This provides an opportunity to acquire additional redeemable health, service and/or education credit. These are: Blood donations, military service, law enforcement & firefighter service, professional career service, charitable donations, and organ donation. More can be added later.

      • Common & Rare Blood Donations
      • Army, Navy, Marine or Air Force Service
      • Law Enforcement & Firefighter Careers
      • Teaching or Medical Career Service
      • Matching-Fund Charitable Donations

      • Live Organ Donation

It's quite possible to earn up to $500,000 value in redeemable health, service and/or education credit. Imagine enough money to purchase a home or begin a business, or get an education at the most challenging college or university. The open gateway is there — just walk through it.

Over your lifetime Donate-For-Life may suggest to you and your family many special offers, deals and key buys: Travel opportunities, sports equipment deals, unique vacations, healthy and organic food, health resort seminars, and commodities galore! Opt-in at anytime and opt-out at anytime. Save money while you focus on keeping fit and staying healthy.
